Local spike in Covid-19 Cases
As I’m sure you’ve read in the news in the last few days, some of our surrounding areas are seeing a spike in Covid-19 cases, with both Pendle and Blackburn/Darwen being at risk of local lockdowns.
Public Health Lancashire has reminded all residents to follow the following guidelines:
- Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly
- Respect any safety measures when you’re going out
- Maintain the 2m distance
- Wear a mask in enclosed spaces
Please make sure that you adhere to the controls that are in place on site to help us maintain a safe working environment for everyone,
COVID-19 Travel Guidelines
On the 10th July, the government published its new Covid-19 international travel guidance. The new guidance, provides a list of countries and territories which no longer pose a high risk for British travellers. British residents can now travel to these countries/territories, without the need to self-quarantine for 14 days following their return into the UK.
The latest guidance however, still advises against non-essential international travel except to countries and territories listed within the publication. In the interest of our members safety, the following expectations as detailed within the below document will now apply as part of our holiday booking policy and procedures.
We would like to share the results of the recent survery that took place. Thank you all for participating. Please use the link below to view the results.
Summer Funday 2020
The Futaba Summer Fun Days are a great way to meet up with colleagues and their families to let our hair down, have fun, and most importantly entertaining the children, whilst raising a little money for the charities closest to our hearts and communities.
This year, although the COVID-19 “R” number seems stable and the infection rates & death rates are reducing every week, the Senior Management Team have taken the decision to sadly cancel the Summer Fun Day for this year.
I hope you can understand how and why we came to this decision.
We have though, asked the Works Council & Union to think about what we could do with some of the provisions set aside for the fun-day to support the local charities and treat the children who have unfortunately missed out this year.
If you would like to suggest anything, please speak to your local Works Council or Union member or mention it to your line manager who will pass on your thoughts.
We will obviously keep you informed when we come up with a plan.
Hopefully, by next Summer we can be having the Fun-day in person & making some great memories.
Please see the letter below from Futaba President Yoshiki-san.
